Against The Flow
I was chatting with Kristen, the always-friendly coffee hostess with the mostest from Common Roots, about how delightfully quiet it was on Lyndale Avenue over the holiday weekend. ”Isn’t it hilarious,” we observed, “that we’d have been stuck in hours and hours of traffic to leave Minneapolis, and since we didn’t, we’re enjoying this peaceful Uptown oasis!”
Thus, therefore, and herein lies the power of going against the flow. By doing what everyone else is doing, you may just be bringing on a lot of unnecessary stress. How does this translate into Minneapolis real estate? What was everyone doing from 2002 to 2005? Buying as prices soared. What was everyone doing from 2005 to 2007? Still buying, and refinancing. What is everyone doing now? Hand-wringing.

Every day, we all make unconscious decisions that are highly impacted by the media around us. The more conscious we are about our decisions, the more we begin to choose the life we want. What does this have to do with Twin Cities Real Estate? Try swimming upstream for awhile. Wally does.
